This Privacy Policy explains how Jamlark, LLC ("Jamlark," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Interrogated website, game, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. Email address, username, and authentication identifiers (including from Google sign-in if used).
• Gameplay data. Cases played, questions asked, theories submitted, verdicts, scores, streaks, and timestamps.
• Subscription & billing. Subscription status and customer identifiers from Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers; card data is collected and stored by Stripe.
• Device & usage data. Browser type, operating system, IP address, referring pages, and interactions with the Service, collected via standard logs and analytics.
• Push notification subscriptions. If you opt in to install the app and enable notifications, we store the push endpoint and keys provided by your browser so we can deliver daily case alerts.
• Cookies & similar technologies. Used for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and advertising (see Sections 3 and 4).

2. How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate users and protect accounts.
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud (via Stripe).
• To send service messages, including daily case push notifications you opted into.
• To display advertising to free-tier users (via Google AdSense).
• To analyze usage, diagnose issues, and develop new features.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Cookies & Tracking

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, measure performance, and (for free accounts) serve advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may impair functionality.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

Free accounts see ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Pro subscribers do not see ads served through the Service.

5. Push Notifications

If you install the app and grant notification permission, we use the Web Push protocol to deliver daily case alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in your device or browser settings, or by uninstalling the app. Doing so will cause your push subscription to be invalidated and removed from our records.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

• Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, AI model providers (for witness responses), email, analytics, and customer support.
• Payments: Stripe, for subscription processing.
• Advertising: Google and its advertising partners, for free accounts.
• Legal & safety: when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. AI Processing

Witness responses are generated by third-party AI models. Questions you submit during gameplay are sent to these providers to generate responses. Do not include real personal, sensitive, or confidential information in your questions.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited information after account deletion to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or request account deletion, by contacting us at the address below. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting an updated effective date or via in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
